Sources

Every figure on this site was read out of one of the 603 documents below. Each is linked twice: once to the agency's own address for it, which is the citation, and once to the stored text this site read the figure out of, which is served from this domain and never changes.

The stored copy exists because a government url is not a permanent thing. Publications are replaced in place each year, press releases are re-filed, and the pdf that stated one year's amounts becomes the one that states the next year's at the same address. The snapshot is the text as it was when the figure was verified, and a figure page gives the sentence and the byte offset to find in it. How that is checked is written out under methodology; the same evidence comes back with every response from the JSON api.

A document listed twice under one title is the same address fetched at two different times with different text behind it, which is why the fetch date is shown. Where a url below no longer resolves, the stored text beside it still does, and copies of the original files are kept off-site against that day. Those copies are a fallback, not a citation: no page here cites anything but the agency's own address.

What is not here

A document nothing cites. The pipeline fetches more than it uses, and only the documents a published figure was actually read from are listed above and served as snapshots. If a source you expected is missing, or a link on this page has gone dead at the agency's end, write tocontact. If a figure disagrees with the document beside it, the document is right: see corrections.
