Under the Indiana Minimum Wage Law, covered employees who work more than 40 hours in a work week must be paid overtime compensation at one and one-half times their regular rate of pay for each hour beyond 40. Indiana's overtime rule therefore follows the same 40-hour weekly threshold used by the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. However, the law contains a long list of exceptions - set out in Indiana Code § 22-2-2-3 (a) through (p) - where the overtime premium does not apply.
